    Hi Chet,
    Thanks for your quick reply,
The adsense ads work if I leave the code that’s in the alone but when I put mine in I get a blank space. If I put the pub # that came with the template back in it works,
Do I have to have ads set up in my google adsene that match the size they use in the template. I will try that next because my adsense work on other sites.
    Thanks again

    Hi Bob.

If the ad you put in that space is not the same size as the original it will not work. However
you should not change the ads that are in there. Just replace the pub number with your pub
number. If you plan on putting something besides an adsense ad in there the new ad must
be the same size as the original.

  • Hi Chet:

Whenever I make a post to my blog, I scroll down my post page I see many place where I can add information.

The last one is called All In One SEO Pack, which has a place for Title, Description, Kewords.

I do have All in One SEO Pack activated on all my websites, but I’ve never put anyting into the boxes on the Post page.

    Should I?

What purpose do these boxes have over and above activating the All in One Seo Pack?

I don’t remember your speaking about this in one of your coaching sessions, although you may have. If you have, I missed it.

    TIA

    Gloria

  • Chet:

I don’t remember where you put the links to the Getting Back Links stuff. I didn’t see it in Resources.

There was the $5 monthly and the $10 monthly.

  • admin says:

Sorry about that Gloria. My fault. You will now find a button in the
navigation bar titled “BackLink Programs”. that will get you to the information.

    Hi Gloria.

You should not have to fill those in if you have the All In One SEO plugin installed.

  • Hi Chet:

I have created a page for audios on my website (not a blog)
and I would like to password protect it. Do I have to put the page in a file in order to do that?

Or is there a way to password protect one website page?

  • admin says:

    Hi Gloria.

I have been out of town for 4 days so I apologize for being slow in responding. Very easy to password protect. Go into your cPanel and look for the icon named password protect. Just follow the directions there and you can password protect any page that you put into the password protected directory.. Stop by any of my conferences and ask this question and I will walk you through the process.

Chet, Is there a video session in which you explain the advantages of creating a subdomain attached to your (main) blog site? Is this so that the URL looks more like a long tailed keyword? vs. a standard domain? Are you yourself using any subdomains?

    thanks in advance.

  • Ron Outlaw says:

Chet, in GVO, what is MVM and how does it work. I know there is a video on how to install it. But what is it, and how does it help our business?

    Please advise,
    Ron

  • Ron Outlaw says:

    Hi Chet,
How do you add a comments form to a wordpress blog?
    Just like this one…LOL

    Regards,

  • Hi Chet,

Firstly, I like to thank you for giving us a very clear and awesome training on wordpress blogging. As a season marketer, I do learn many new ideas from you. Thank You!

You did mention that we should have blogs on different IP hosting. I have an idea, and is seeking for your advice:

Since we are all GVO reseller hosting owner, why don’t we help each other out by doing some barter trades. Meaning that if our reseller hosting is on different IPs, we can butter trade with each other and this will save members time and money to source out other hosting for their blogging strategies.

I am not sure if this will work out and if possible I like to present my offer for another IPs hosting.

    My Offers:

    Disk space: 2,000 mb
    Bandwidth: 5,000 mb
    subdomain: 7
    MySQL Data: 15
    Emails Accounts: 15

My current IP address is 12.68.140.142. I will barter trade with any other GVO hosting that have a different IP of my with the same offers as above.

Anyone that are interested to do a butter trade, do email me at: teddy@askteddywu.com with a Subject Title: GVO Barter Trade.

    Thanks
    Teddy (JYI)

    Hi Ron.

It is not necessary to add a comment form. this is built into the blog itself.
Unless yo turn it off on each page or post that you create, anyone can post
a comment to your posts and pages. Hope this answers your question.

    Hi Ron.

MVM is a membership script. If you were going to set up some sort of membership like GVO then you would use a script like the MVM script to keep track of your members, collect monthly dues, set up replicated sites and other tasks necessary to run a membership site.

    Hi John.

I have discussed the use of subdomains in many of my conferences. I believe if you look at the list of recorded conferences you will find several addressing subdomains. In the past I used subdomains quite a bit. I have stopped using them because I have proved to myself
that is is much easier to rank on the first page of Google with a primary domain as long as you make sure that the domain contains only the longtail keyword phrase you are trying to
    rank for.

Run a test and see if you don’t agree. Check the first 3 pages of Google for any keyword you can think of and see how many subdomains you find there. Usually you will find none.

Ever watched a Demo or training and thought ~ that’s easy ~ only to try it later by yourself and go what the???

Well in addition to creating great practical how-to videos which make everything look easy, Chet Hastings, provides follow up with online courses where he answers questions live.

My next question is on setting up pay pal but I need to test the process once more and write up the questions.

Many, many thanks for all the great training, I can NOT say enough words of appreciation!

  • Ed Matechuk says:

Hey Chet, I am using the the COREFTP and I’m having one tough time in up loading the additional plugins into the Settings. I have them in my documents and I could not get them loaded with the FTP. I have viewed your video a number of times, but it fails to load. The plugins are – privacy policy,SEO,Contact Us,XML Ping Optimizer, Google Analytics.
I do not know – what is wrong?
Another point- Can you load sip files with the FTP?

  • admin says:

    Good morning
    Ed.

Make sure you unzip the plugin folders before you FTP them to your blog. They may
upload in zip format with FTP but they will not open and will not show when you
check your Plugin list in your dashboard.

You can upload zip folders to your blog through your dashboard. Log into the Dashboard,
Click on Plugins, click on Add New. When that page opens click on upload at the top of the
page. Then click on Browse and locate the zip file on your computer and click it. Then click on
Install now. Remember if you choose to do it this way the plugin must be in zip form.

    Hope this helps.

    Chet,

AL Kiel here – long time no talk. I was shocked when I could not find you with GVO? Hope things are okay. I have a WordPress question to ask.

Can I call or email you directly?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Chet,
I really miss your class. I learned so much from you. I am trying to insert a table on my blog. I re-watched the
video and understand the process. However, I am an html dummy and want to copy the html code so I can then modify it to meet my needs. The video you did for us on the table appears to be missing. I would appreciate learning how to access this code.

Personal note. I, too, am a senior citizen some times wonder if younger people dont discount us unnecessarily. I do not believe Joel really appreciated what you brought to GVO. The instruction and instructors at GVO are good, but you brought a special touch that was different from what we are receiving. Your approach, from my point of view, was clearer and not as fast. You were also very detailed. Oh well, life goes on. I wish you much success in all your future activities. My sons and I frequently refer to your videos to refresh our knowledge and understanding.

    Have a great day.
