Hello and welcome to our blog. My name is Chet Hastings and I am the guy who started this blog with the hopes of helping as many people as possible to get into blogging as painless as possible. We talk about lots of stuff here not just blogging although blogs are our main interest.

I posted a lot about myself and what we do here on the main page so I won’t bore you by repeating all of that. I am glad you found us. Be sure to let me know how I can help you to find success on this great thing called the “World Wide Web”.

Chet Hastings and I have been friends for about 5 years and have worked together on a number of projects….needless to say, we have gone down a few wrong roads, but then we found a lot of the right ones also. Blogging is a great way to make money on the net, but
more importantly, it’s easy and it’s fun. We have a small group of really great people that have one common goal, making money with blogs.

I urge everyone who has an interest in additional income to join us in our endeavor,
    you’ll be glad you did.

    Hello!

I am a beginner and hope to learn more than I know at the moment about Wordpress and blogging.

  • Hello all,

I’ve participated in Chet’s conferences and training sessions off and on now for two years, and have found him to be a very straightforward and knowledgeable mentor.

Based on some of Chet’s training and another major program I’ve been involved with, I have started the process of building a substantial network of blogs focused on affiliate marketing.

I am looking forward to the ongoing teaching and training that Chet provides to continue the honing of my skills and more successful monetizing of the effort.

    Hello World,

Hello World is the first thing I learned to do when working with HTML like most people do.

I have known Chet for about 5 years now and a lot of what I know about working on the Internet came from attending Chet’s classes. Thanks to Chet, I now have my own Web Design & Hosting business.

I know very little when it comes to monetizing a web site and that is where Chet comes in.
His knowledge of all of the different programs and plugins for Wordpress is priceless.

I consider myself lucky that he is willing to share his knowledge with others.

  • Hello Friends,

My internet niche covers the first time home buyer. All the content is my original writings. Little did I know when I passed my HS writing course and produced two college level papers that I would, after I retired from my accounting career, I would once again begin writing. I am a published author for many of the online ezines and have been recognized as an “Expert Author”. Some of my other endeavors include participation in a published ebook, many affiliate memberships, Treasurer for the Wisconsin Center for Missing Children & Adults and 6 websites. More recently, I have become interested in private online investment clubs.

  • Hello, Chet and Crew

I Started trying to learn this easy money making job of marketing on the internet now I guess would be over two years now. I became disable to work my old job and was going
to get rich by starting to market.

Well it wasn’t easy and as far as the money is concerned I had more before I started. I was
getting too old to be learning all this new stuff. While trying to learn I have been in Chet’s
classes a while now and some of the other Kiosk teacher and have come a long way.

Chet is one of the best and puts out some really good videos.

So thanks Chet and all the others that has helped me along the way.

  • Kathy Pop says:

    Good day!

I too have known Chet for around 5 years. I had run several offline businesses over the years- about 35 years total, but doing business online was new to me. I’ve done auto repair, dog training, taught computer basics and taught the Law of attraction classes long before it was known as the “Secret”, flipped houses, managed rental property and operated a bar- but building a website and monetizing it was a new ball of wax.

Chet has been one of my mentors and I’m now following in his footsteps and teaching online myself. I always look forward to what new things he has to show us.

    Thanks Chet for your generosity

I want to make sure and catch at least some of your classes. You are such a great teacher and surely have a lot of patience. I’ve learned so much from you previously, so don’t want to miss out.

  • Maria Gabriel says:

    Hi Chet,

Thanks for the tip earlier this a.m.
for I am now working on setting up
    my own website at last.

I won’t spill the beans on myself and
reveal how many programs I have
subscribed to over the last couple years
and the $$ I have wasted.

I will admit though, that inside those
experiences I have learnt some lessons.
I am convinced that I have dabbled
long enough and am now focused on
learning a deeper level of skillsets that
would enable me to make optimum use of
programs and resources that I subscribe to
    and also earn adequate income.

I truly want to be able to provide help to
other newbies so that they can hop, step and
jump over some of the errors that I made,
especially since I am now retired and do enjoy
    this new adventure.

Additionally, I long for the day when I can
make a direct contribution to others’ lives
via the net as I was involved in training
and helping others manage their finances
    before being downsized/retired early.

The wealth of information that is available here
makes me feel that I’m in the right place, and for
that I again thank you, Chet.

    Talk to you soon.

    Maria

  • Hi Chet and fellow Bloggers,

I call myself an “advanced newbie” as I have dabbled in IM for quite some time now, spent thousands of dollars on guru training programs and tools without much to show for.

I have recently started an affiliate marketing training course called Affiloblueprint 2.0 by a guy called Mark Ling and for the first time things are making sense and I am putting my first real website together: http://www.247freepower.com. One of my (few) pages made it to position 4 in Google today after less than 2 weeks – cool ay? And all based on SEO, not at the PPC stage yet! So that’s encouraging.

I have also been a Kiosk customer for some time (they host some earlier projects of mine from another “guru” that did not take off, amongst them a blog, which I hope to rescue with your help, Chet) and therefore have been on Joel Therien’s email list for a while. When I started receiving the promotional material for the GVOcom VIP Coaching course – despite the best intensions to stay focused on the Affiloblueprint course – I could not resist a) because I think the coaching is going to be fabulous thanks to guys like you Chet and b) because of the bonus free software. So, that’s me. Oh, yeah, I forgot: I used to be an international IT Consultant and Project Manager (nothing to do with Internet though), worked and lived in 13 different countries and call New Zealand home where I now live on a small 100 acre farm with my lovely wife and the two younger of our four children, raising steaks for the freezer and working on my new career in Internet Marketing (semi-retirement is great, but I still have to pay these damn bills).

    Cheers,
    Peter
IM Newbie, Biodynamic Farmer, Entrepreneur & Trainee Blogger under Chet’s care

P.S. If anybody is interested in the Affiloblueprint course, the doors are currently closed, but should open again soon. It’s an awesome course, especially for newbies or slightly advanced newbies like me. You can sign up first as a FREE Member (they have great contents on their site) and will be notified of the new course. Here is the link:
    http://www.affilorama.com/?aff=impsa1
Yes, that’s my affiliate link and if you ever did enroll for Affiloblueprint 2.0 I would get a small commission – but that’s what affiliate marketing is all about, isn’t it)

  • admin says:

    Hi Jerry.

Glad to see you here. Sometimes the worst enemy of success is knowledge. Being
ex-military I know you are familiar with many war stories of soldiers who accomplished
the impossible just because no one ever told them what they were about to do was
not possible. so they just went ahead and did it.

Being an ex-paratrooper I am glad I was too dumb to realize all that could go wrong
when one exits a perfectly good airplane while it is still in flight. Now that I am older
and hopefully wiser and have thought about what I did I would probably have a hard
time doing it again. Although I do remember that the 34 foot tower scared me a lot
mote than jumping from the actual plane.

I am going to teach you enough to build a business and then show you some more.
The problem, if there is one, is that this system is so simple that some folks just can’t
believe it is possible. Well stick with me and let me show you what you can do with
just a little knowledge and very little investment.

    Hi Chet,
I have just signed up with Joel on all his programs including the vip coaching. We are looking forward to learning lots more from your great classes on wordpress.Could you possibly contact me direct as I have a few questions to ask about the transfer of a wordpress site to Joel’s system.
    Thanks,and I look forward to tomorrow’s class.

  • admin says:

    Hi David.

Welcome to Kiosk. Unfortunately transferring a Wordpress blog is a little more involved than we
discuss in a phone call. I will be covering this in my conferences but because you probably have a
need to get it done quickly, I will get a video made in the next couple of days and post it here on
the blog so you can get yours transferred. Also yu might consider asking the techs at Kiosk to
transfer it for you. Just submit a help desk ticket and see if they can do it for you. Might save you
    some time and aggravation.

    Chet

  • I just listened to your GVO VIP coaching call on Learn Wordpress Live and am looking for the 1st coaching call that I missed.
Just starting to blog and finding it a little confusing but hopefully with your coaching I’ll learn how to get results.

    Hi Charles.

Look at the top of the home page of the blog. You will see a button for
GVO Recorded Conferences. Follow the directions on that page.

  • Gail Ferguson says:

Thanks so much for putting this site up. I enrolled in VIP coaching knowing that I would miss many of the live seminars. I have yet to attend a “live” one. Working days, most of my online activity is after 5 and on weekends.

I joined Kiosk as my first host provider about 15 months ago and have not utilitzed the services to their fullest. My situation echoes Peter’s with the blog. It wasn’t the guru’s fault, it was mine because I didn’t follow-through.

My hangup was the autoresponder. I have yet to add it to any of my blogs/sites. Still testing for the right “niche” too.

With VIP coaching, I plan to change that. Thanks again, my goal is to stay focussed to build a “complete” system
(someone else can have my “day job”)

    Until next time

  • Warren says:

Hi all I am taking this opportunity to succeed online now that I have the right mentors to teach me. I have been to a couple of seminars and yes technology evades us all, I am positive and very hopeful that I have taken the right steps.

    Kindest Regards

    Warren

  • admin says:

    Hello Warren.

Welcome to our group. In my experience I have come to believe that one of the
main reasons people fail, or convince themselves they they have failed because
they are not making thousands of dollars in two months, is a definite lack of focus
    and the PHd mentality.

Too much time is spent in trying to learn everything and no action is taken until
every aspect of a subject is fully understood. Certainly no one should start a
business in complete ignorance. But by the same token, if one waits till every-
thing is fully mastered and completely understood, one might go broke before
    the business is even begun.

There are many ways to make income on the internet. Affiliate marketing,
promoting other peoples products with blogs, is one such way. A one
dollar .info domain and a Wordpress blog can very quickly determine if a
particular niche or product is profitable.

I don’t want this to be a major discussion so I will just suggest that if a
person would build a couple of blogs after doing some basic research to
determine a possible profitable product, join some free affiliate programs
such as Pepperjamnetwork, they might find out very quickly if this was a
business plan in which they wish to continue.

It will not take years to become profitable. No great monetary investment
is necessary. It is not necessary to ask others if they are successful or how
much they are making. A little effort will produce plenty of information to
help you make a decision whether you want to continue in this business
    or not.

What I am trying to say, and not doing a very good job of it, is learn how
to build a basic blog. Buy a couple of domains. Join a few free affiliate
programs. I am going to suggest that you start with non internet marketing
products that people will need or continue to buy irregardless of the
    economy.

Build these blogs. Use the methods we will be teaching you to drive some
free traffic. Make some money. Then increase your skills and do it better.
In other words, and I guess I should have just said this, “Do Something”.

Do something today. Do something tomorrow. This is one business where
failure is acceptable if you learn from your mistakes. This of course does
not mean that the more mistakes you make the smarter you become so
set your goal to make lots of mistakes. But how will you know if you do
not at least put something out here to test the waters.

It has been said that Edison did not fail 3000 times in making a light bulb.
He instead had discovered 3000 ways not to build a light bulb. In our
coaching you will be taught a variety of business methods each based on
the particular coach’s background and present life circumstances.

Gerry will teach you leadership skills and some great techniques to build
large profitable MLM organizations. Joel and Mike will teach you marketing
methods based on their own areas of successes and failures which could
save you years of experimenting. Clare will show you how to build beautiful
webpages which of course are your online store fronts. I will do my best
to show you how to build a virtual online business with nothing more than
    blogs and promotional techniques.

Whether your goal is making income or advancing the human condition by
contributing to your fellow man, you will surely find the skills here to accomplish
your goals. All that is necessary is the will to accept what you learn and apply
the techniques to your own particular needs. You will be receiving the results
of years of experience from people who have been building internet businesses
and are willing for what ever reason to share this knowledge with others.

Well this is what happens when I get up early, thankfull to God for another day
of life, full of ambition to see what the day holds and anxious to not only succeed
but to see others also succeed. I tend to use 20 words when one would suffice.
Please do not assume that all of the previous commenting was directed at you
personally. Your post just gave me an excuse to put in print what many times is
on my mind. Thank you for your post and please let us know if we can help in any
way to make your online business a success.

My background is 15+ years in direct sales, I got the internet bug around 1.5 years ago. I thaught I knew all about sales, boy I was wrong this internet marketing is a whole new world. I have been thrown around from program to program like most people. I guess that is part of the learning curve for us all on this exciting journey. I am building my own social networking site in the Algarve Portugal. I am also a business partners to a membership site with over 8000 members. http://TheWidgeteers.com
I havn’t hit the big time yet! but we only fail when we give up, Right?…

  • admin says:

    Hi Peter.

For sure if you are not careful you can spend a fortune while many of us forget that the
internet was originally designed to provide information and much of what is necessary
to learn to be successful in business online is free if we only take the time to search for
    for it.

However having said that, our time is not free and we are only allotted a finite amount.
So we do well to find ways to learn quicker. I still pay for courses. Even though I make a
living on the internet I am presently involved in a coupe of courses. I paid $300.00 for one
and the other I pay a monthly fee of $48.00. But the information gained will allow me to
return my investment many times over.

My hope is that all of you find our training to be very helpful also.

I have already listened to your training on supersponder and found it very helpful. I’ve been with KIOSK for several months and have created a couple of websites, one which is active, the others being a sandbox for my own learning.

My goal is to get serious about monetizing my efforts through affiliate programs and my own IP. I have grave concerns over our economy as expressed by one of the other respondents and I need to get serious about this process.

I look forward to learning and sharing information through this forum.

    Thanks for doing this.

  • admin says:

    Hi tom and welcome.

One of the benefits of having your business on the internet is that you reach so many people.
Doesn’t seem to matter what the economy is like some folks are always buying. Of course as
with offline business everyone notices a downturn but if you cover enough products which is
very simple to do with blogs it seems you will always find someone with the ability, and
    desire to spend money.

I sold a pair of thousand dollar sunglasses from one of my sites a few weeks ago. They did not
seem to be bothered about the economy. You will do well if you just work the system and stay
    focused.

This is just to say Hi, & to ask a quick question, I have a website hosted at kiosk but somebody else has been making the changes, which was ok but that costs me money + when I want to make changes it could be weeks for this to happen.
Anyway after watching clairs video I purchased notetab and added the code from my site and made the changes that I wanted but now what, how do I upload the new content to my site,Any help you can give me would be most appreciated, Cheers
    Darren,

  • Hi Again Chet.

Ive been trying to find a niche so I can set up my blog, but im a bit stuck or confused, just say for instance I picked Trainers (sneakers) would I then have to find a company that I could become an affiliate of, to advertise the sneakers they then sold, and where would I get the content from, for my blog, do the companys provide this.
Also I have a blank domain of http://darrenraines.com
Could this be used for the blogs or would it put people off buying from something like
    http://sneakers.darrenraines.com

    Cheers

    Hi Darren

This is exactly what I will be covering this week. I would suggest that you check the resource
link at the top of this blog and check into the pepperjamnetwork affiliate program. They have
thousands of products you can promote. For your first generic domain I would suggest
    something other than your name.

Some domains others I have coached are using are shippedquick.com and confidentshopper.com
Try to make my conference on Wednesday because this is exactly what I will be covering.
