If you have a hosting account that offers cPanel, and you should, you are fortunate because you can use a feature called Fantastico which allows you to install a Wordpress blog including the database in less than 3 minutes. You can install your blog on your primary domain, on a subdomain or on an addon domain all in just a few clicks.
And as an added benefit if for some reason you ever decide to remove the blog you can do so in just a couple of clicks.
