Welcome to LearnWordPressLive. What started as a live help conference teaching people how to set up and operate Wordpress blogs way back in 2007, moved to this blog and a forum in May of 2008, has now evolved into this blog in February of 2009.
My goal with this project has always been to give a little something back to the hard working business builders on the internet. The internet has been very good to me over the years and one of my pleasures is to help and watch others enjoy the fruits of honest hard work on the internet.
A little background is probably in order here. For the past 5 years I have been producing training videos and conducting live training conferences for a large hosting/software company where I serve on the support staff.
In addition my wife and I operate two successful eBay sites, and a profitable internet book selling business. I have been an eBay Trading Assistant and a certified eBay instructor.
Over the years I have worked with a large number of people eager to learn how to put the magic of Wordpress to work for them. Many of these people have become my friends. For the past year I have used a blog and a membership site utilizing a forum to provide a central location for all my training videos and a place for members to ask questions and receive advice not only from me but from other members.
Recently I have decided to simplify the process and eliminate the forum. People are busy today and don’t seem to have the time to log into forums to find training videos and seek advice. So I have eliminated the forum and will now use this blog as a center for training and comments.
I am in the process of moving all the training videos and other material from the forum to this blog. Now all that is necessary is to stop by the blog once in a while and see what is new. You can also ask questions and share advice with others by simply posting a comment. I will monitor each comment and do my best to answer all questions and if someone is looking for something that I have not covered I will post more information regarding those subjects.
In addition I will be offering reviews on some of the many programs I purchase, I am a rabid info junkie and purchase lots of programs that I will comment on in an effort to help you decide if it is something you should acquire for your business building.
By changing the Learn Word Press Live training to this new structure I have eliminated passwords and necessary sign in and out chores. Just stop by the blog and watch for my newsletter to keep up to date.
Sorry for such a long post but I wanted you to know what we were all about here. Today is February 27, 2009 and I will be in the process of transferring all the training videos and other information from the forum for the next few days so you will see many changes over the next several days. Please bear with me as I update the material.
